Welcome to Schembri’s Taekwondo

Featured

The club firmly maintains the traditional training aspect of Taekwondo as a formal martial art. We are one of few clubs that still teach the ancient forms of Palgwe poomsae and incorporate these into our grading syllabus, along with the well know Taeguk poomsae, whilst encompassing and embracing the Olympic sport component.

The club also maintains an excellent training facility and provides high quality training equipment to ensure students have a quality base to begin their personal training.

Time to set your goals for 2024.

Class schedule is back to normal following the Christmas break. In addition to your normal classes, you are welcome to attend Friday night fitness class and Saturday morning poomsae and sparring classes. Wednesday and Friday mornings, 7am to 8am is open mat Poomsae training. This session involves Instructors and students from clubs across Victoria. You are welcome to attend this class, however your first priority should always be your regular class.

Term 1 is a short term, so to be ready for your grading. Time to focus and start training!

Taekwondo Ethics and Respect

Bow when entering/exiting the club, this shows respect for dojang, the Instructor and the flags.

If you are late to class, you must be acknowledged by and bow to the instructor before joining in the class.

If you need to exit the hall during training you must inform the Instructor or Senior black belt.

If you leave your belt at home or you are out of uniform, you will need to stand at the back of the class for that training session (regardless of rank).

No jewellery to be worn during class (this is for your own & others safety).

Your ‘dobok’ should be clean and worn correctly with your belt.
